Job description

Company Overview

Gaelan Hospital is a contemporary healthcare provider on Al Taawun Street in Sharjah, positioned for easy access to medical care for the local community. With a team of more than 34 seasoned doctors working across 20+ specialist departments, the hospital delivers coordinated and comprehensive treatment. It supports a patient base of over 5,000 people and places strong emphasis on preventive healthcare, precise diagnosis, and advanced treatment options. The organization is committed to guiding patients through each stage of care with professionalism, dignity, and compassion.

Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position at Gaelan Hospital in Sharjah. The Licensing Officer oversees all licensing and registration work for the hospital, its healthcare professionals, and its clinical services, ensuring adherence to local health authority rules and regulatory standards.

Key Duties

In this role, you will handle licensing applications and renewals, keep track of expiry dates, maintain complete and accurate records, and coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure timely approvals. You will also work closely with medical, HR, and administrative teams to collect supporting documents, verify credentials, and confirm that all departments remain compliant with legal and regulatory obligations. In addition, you will monitor regulatory updates, brief internal stakeholders on changes, assist with audits and inspections, and suggest improvements to strengthen ongoing compliance processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has practical experience in healthcare licensing, regulatory affairs, or compliance in a hospital or clinical environment. Strong familiarity with UAE and Sharjah healthcare regulations, licensing procedures, and health authority requirements is essential. You should bring excellent documentation and record-management abilities, outstanding organization, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills are needed to work effectively with medical, HR, and administrative teams. Comfort using office productivity software and licensing or credentialing systems for tracking and reporting is also important. The ability to manage several deadlines, prioritize effectively, and work independently with limited supervision is required. A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a closely related field is preferred, and additional compliance or regulatory affairs certifications are considered an advantage. Prior UAE hospital or healthcare experience is highly desirable. English fluency is required, and Arabic knowledge would be a plus.
