About the Role
Black & Grey HR is recruiting an Occupational Health Nurse for a leading food manufacturing firm in the UAE. The organization prioritizes employee health, workplace safety, and compliance with food safety regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee wellbeing and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards in the manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first aid and initial medical treatment to employees with health issues, injuries, or illnesses on-site.
- Monitor workers' health status and coordinate necessary medical interventions, including hospital referrals.
- Oversee the upkeep of the in-house medical clinic, managing equipment, medical supplies, and treatment documentation.
- Organize and perform employee medical assessments in accordance with occupational health protocols.
- Accurately maintain medical files, incident logs, and health records within the system.
- Assist in the enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and programs.
- Engage in safety inspections, risk evaluations, and ergonomic studies to detect health and safety hazards.
- Contribute to emergency preparedness efforts, including executing drills and maintaining response plans.
- Ensure adherence to local occupational health laws, company protocols, and industry standards.
- Support management of medical inventories and procurement related to health and safety.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and personal hygiene standards in production areas.
- Report safety, health, or food safety issues to relevant teams to enable prompt corrective measures.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Diploma in General Nursing from a recognized institution along with a valid Ministry of Health (MOH) license or eligibility to obtain one.
- At least 2 to 3 years of nursing experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or food processing sectors.
- Fluent in Arabic (native proficiency) and proficient in English at a professional working level.
- Good knowledge of local MOH regulations and labor laws related to occupational health practices.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and interpersonal abilities, with capacity to collaborate effectively in multicultural teams.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as with HSE teams, with adaptability to variable working hours.
