Licensed Aircraft Technician - Specialized Services (Machine)

About the role

Qatar Airways is hiring a Licensed Aircraft Technician for its Specialized Services (Machine) team in Doha. In this position, you will perform maintenance on aircraft components, sign off completed work, and provide technical support to mechanics by sharing specialist knowledge.

Key accountabilities

• Carry out aircraft component maintenance in line with established procedures and standards to deliver high-quality output.
• Complete and certify planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on aircraft and components within your authorization, supporting operational requirements.
• Flag any expected work-related issues that could affect progress and help resolve them using your technical expertise.
• Use equipment correctly by following manuals and safety instructions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Select and use the appropriate tools and equipment for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while staying compliant with regulations.
• Check that all tools and equipment are calibrated, functional, and serviceable before and after use to meet quality expectations.
• Finish assigned maintenance tasks on time to support the needs of internal customers such as supply chain, line maintenance, and base maintenance.
• Make the best use of manpower and available resources through roster planning so production flow remains smooth and releases are made on time.
• Set task priorities for the team members under your supervision to ensure work is completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
• Ensure staff under your control follow approved maintenance data such as CMM and SRM, along with health and safety requirements, through regular monitoring.
• Carry out any other duties related to the role as assigned by the Head of Department.

Eligibility and experience

Applicants should have either a high school qualification, vocational qualification, diploma, or an equivalent credential with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Candidates must also have training on CNC machines and a valid company authorization for component repair and parts fabrication.
