Licensed Aircraft Technician - Specialized Services (Fluid Analysis)

About the role

This position is for a Licensed Aircraft Technician in Specialized Services, focused on fluid analysis, based in Doha. The role centers on carrying out maintenance work on aircraft components, certifying completed work, and offering specialist technical support to mechanics when needed.

Operational responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft component maintenance in line with established procedures and policies so the finished work meets the required quality standards.
• Complete and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for aircraft and components using the authority granted for the role, while supporting operational requirements.
• Escalate any expected work issues that could slow progress to the engineer in charge and help implement practical solutions using technical expertise.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely by following the relevant manuals and instructions.
• Use the proper tools and equipment for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to remain fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Check that all tools and equipment are serviceable and correctly calibrated before and after use to meet quality expectations.
• Finish assigned maintenance work on time to support internal customers such as supply chain, line maintenance, and base maintenance.
• Make the best use of manpower and available resources through roster planning to keep production moving smoothly and support timely release.
• Set task priorities for team members under your control to help ensure efficient resource use and timely component release.
• Monitor staff under direct supervision so they follow approved maintenance data, including CMM and SRM, as well as health and safety rules, to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Carry out any other duties linked to the role as assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualifications and skills

The role requires either a high school qualification, vocational qualification, diploma, or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor’s degree/equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience. In addition, at least 1 year of experience in lab certification is required.

You should have a solid understanding of aircraft maintenance fundamentals and procedures, air legislation, equipment maintenance and proper handling, and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as other departments.
