About the role
Klax Schule in Berlin-Pankow is a state-recognised bilingual all-day school that teaches from grade 1 through grade 13 based on the Klax pedagogy concept. The school emphasises creative projects and self-directed learning in a supportive environment that encourages students to take on new challenges and learning opportunities.
The school is looking to strengthen its team with a permanent teacher for upper secondary classes, covering German, English and/or social studies from the new school year.
Responsibilities
- Teach German, English and/or social studies in the upper secondary level.
- Collaborate closely with the subject team within the school.
- Take part in subject-related school projects.
- May assume responsibility as a class teacher if needed.
- Integrate classroom teaching with digital learning concepts.
- Document student learning progress through portfolio-based assessment.
- Support and advise students in day-to-day learning and help strengthen their ability to act independently.
Requirements
- Completed teaching degree with at least the first state examination for primary, gymnasium or comprehensive school teaching, or a master's degree in German studies, geography, history, politics, ethics, social studies, or English.
- Experience in planning and delivering upper secondary lessons.
- A varied and flexible approach to teaching methods and classroom practice.
- Interest in and experience with digital media.
- Enjoyment in developing and implementing competitions or contest formats.
- Creative, committed, and proactive working style.
