Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Legal Secretary / Paralegal role is based in Bundall, Queensland. Key responsibilities include assisting family law practitioners with document creation, court forms, and correspondence, plus maintaining precise files and matter management systems. Tasks also involve drafting letters, organizing evidence and disclosure, scheduling appointments and court hearings, and serving as a point of contact with clients, counsel, and external parties. Additional duties encompass managing diaries and emails for fee earners, supporting billing and time recording processes, and general administrative activities to facilitate smooth operations within the practice.
Required Skills and Experience
- Solid legal administrative capabilities, such as document formatting, file management, and court document preparation.
- Background in family law or related legal fields with knowledge of court procedures and legal terminology.
- Proficiency using legal practice management software, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and digital document management tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a focus on precision, accuracy, and professional client relations.
- Effective organization and time management skills enabling prioritization of multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team setting.
