Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Legal Project Manager in the United States, arranged on behalf of a partner organization that oversees the application process and subsequent hiring steps. The role combines legal operations, healthcare compliance, and project coordination in support of a rapidly expanding healthcare business with nationwide operations. It is a high-impact position that helps keep legal and compliance work aligned with regulatory expectations while improving day-to-day efficiency across the company.

The person in this role will collaborate with attorneys, compliance leaders, and business stakeholders to support contract administration, policy creation, and risk reduction efforts. Because the organization operates in a fast-moving and highly collaborative setting, the role requires strong structure, the ability to juggle competing priorities, and comfort working across teams to move initiatives forward.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate legal and compliance project activity, monitor deliverables, and keep workflows moving on schedule while maintaining clear records and well-organized documentation.
  • Carry out research on healthcare regulations, licensing, payer requirements, and applicable state and federal rules, and help prepare legal memos, policy materials, and contract templates.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between internal teams and outside parties, including regulators, to support investigations, dispute handling, and litigation-related coordination.
  • Create presentations, internal training content, and communication materials that strengthen legal awareness and compliance understanding across the organization.
  • Handle administrative and operational support tasks such as file management, reporting, and use of legal/project management systems to improve efficiency.
  • Help leadership track deadlines, organize priorities, and ensure legal goals are translated into practical operational execution.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of combined experience in healthcare paralegal work, legal operations, or project management in a law firm or healthcare setting.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks, physician licensing, and regulatory processes, ideally with experience supporting legal and compliance functions in complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated success managing several projects on your own, with strong planning habits, accuracy, and reliable deadline control.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Monday.com, Slack, and similar workflow platforms.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills, including careful proofreading and experience drafting formal legal or compliance documents.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with sound judgment, initiative, and practical problem-solving skills.

Benefits

  • Salary can go up to $120,000 per year.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage are included.
  • A 401(k) retirement plan is available with employer matching.
  • Paid time off and company holidays are provided.
  • Remote work is available anywhere within the United States.
  • This is a chance to contribute to meaningful healthcare compliance and legal operations work.
