About the Role
Amor Management Consultants is working with a leading OEM and heavy equipment manufacturing company located in Pune (Chakan) to hire a Legal Manager experienced in handling commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various business contracts with suppliers, vendors, customers, and partners, ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and scrutinize commercial contracts and agreements related to business operations.
- Manage both domestic and international or cross-border contracts effectively.
- Review contracts with suppliers, vendors, customers, and service providers to safeguard company interests.
- Negotiate critical terms and conditions with business partners including suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure all contracts are legally sound and offer strong protection to the company's rights.
- Handle legal matters involving Contract Law and the Sale of Goods.
- Maintain foundational knowledge on Import & Export laws and FEMA regulations to support related contract matters.
- Provide assistance on legal issues involving Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Competition Law, Privacy Law, banking, and commercial transactions.
- Conduct thorough legal research to update the company on legislative changes and new legal requirements.
- Assist with domestic and international arbitration and dispute resolution efforts.
- Maintain detailed records and management information systems (MIS) regarding contract statuses, renewals, expiries, and outstanding approvals.
- Offer legal support for civil and criminal proceedings and compliance-related activities.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments, external vendors, suppliers, advocates, and legal consultants to ensure smooth contract and legal operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- LLB or LLM degree in any specialization is mandatory.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation.
- Proven expertise in vendor/supplier agreements, legal research, compliance, and arbitration processes.
Additional Desired Skills
- Knowledge of FEMA regulations and import-export laws.
- Experience with international and cross-border contracts.
- Familiarity with the Sale of Goods Act and Competition Law.
- Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights and Privacy/Data Protection Laws.
- Exposure to civil and criminal litigation procedures.
