Legal Document Reviewer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Privacy Annotation Specialist for a contract role involving remote work. The engagement offers hourly compensation ranging from $105 to $140, with a flexible weekly commitment between 10 and 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and annotate confidential legal documents to identify Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive content with precision.
• Apply expertise in contract analysis and electronic discovery (eDiscovery) to assure the quality and accuracy of data annotations.
• Evaluate and validate outputs from Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies to maintain data accuracy within legal investigation workflows.
• Collaborate closely with compliance and legal technology units to uphold information governance and privacy standards.
• Perform quality assurance reviews and audit document batches to ensure adherence to regulatory mandates.
• Effectively communicate observations and suggestions to interdisciplinary teams in a clear and actionable manner.

Required Qualifications

• Substantial experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, and compliance operations.
• Strong knowledge of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) concepts and data privacy laws.
• Familiarity with leading organizations such as Consilio, Epiq, Relativity, KLDiscovery, or TransPerfect is advantageous.
• Professional background including roles like Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
• Demonstrated experience in legal document review, litigation support, or managed legal services environments.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive data carefully in critical, high-pressure contexts.
