Job description
Position Overview
Seeking a qualified Legal Counsel with over 5 years of experience, aged between 33 and 42, to work onsite in Doha, Qatar on an 11-month contractual basis. The candidate should be a certified legal professional, ideally holding an Admission Certificate, with a strong background in corporate law and company regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and modifying contracts related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JV), and leasing agreements, excluding vessel-related contracts.
- Overseeing corporate governance aspects and performing company secretarial duties such as preparing and updating constitutional documents.
- Composing board and shareholder resolutions and handling statutory filings for multiple group entities.
- Providing practical legal advice focusing on business implications, particularly around Companies Law and its application within an in-house legal context.
Preferred Expertise
- Familiarity with banking and finance deals, including loan agreements, fund arrangements, and investment contracts.
- Experience in managing finance transactions and related documentation.
