Position Overview

We are seeking a Legal Compliance Specialist to join our team remotely on a contract basis. This role involves assisting in the evaluation and enhancement of AI systems through legal and compliance expertise focused on United States regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and annotate legal documentation and compliance content relevant to AI system development.
Compose comprehensive explanations and reasoned responses to intricate compliance matters to support machine learning datasets.
Assess and critique AI-generated legal content to ensure correctness, logical consistency, and alignment with U.S. compliance standards.
Work closely with project leaders and technical experts in a remote capacity to provide insights on detailed compliance and regulatory issues.
Create scenario-based questions and answers that reflect contemporary compliance law challenges and developments.
Spot inconsistencies or legal vulnerabilities in AI outputs and recommend enhancements for clarity and precision.
Offer feedback on workflow improvements to aid continued advancement of AI training processes.

Candidate Requirements

Possession of Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and active attorney license in good standing.
Proven practical experience in U.S. compliance law practice.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the capability to clearly convey complex legal ideas.
Preferred experience includes judicial clerkship service, legal teaching roles, or editorial involvement with academic legal journals.

Compensation and Commitment

This is a contract position offering hourly pay ranging from $90 to $150. The expected commitment is flexible, between 10 to 40 hours per week.
