Role Overview
As a Legal Associate specializing in Corporate and Commercial law, you will handle daily corporate and commercial law cases supporting partners and the firm's clients. Your tasks include drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, partnership agreements, governance and corporate structuring documents, and participating in mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring operations. You will conduct legal research and analysis, prepare notes, opinions, and memorandums, and assist in client relationship management by attending meetings and negotiations. Ensuring compliance of transactions with Qatari law and international standards will be a key responsibility, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. This full-time position is based in Doha, Qatar, with a hybrid working arrangement allowing partial remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge in corporate and commercial law including legal structures, commercial contracts, M&A transactions, and corporate governance.
- Strong legal advisory and analytical skills capable of conducting thorough research, drafting legal opinions, memorandums, and interpreting Qatari and international regulations.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation capabilities with the ability to create clear legal documents, review complex contracts, and engage effectively during negotiations with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple cases, respect deadlines, provide client-focused service, and work collaboratively within a team.
- Academic credentials include a Master's degree or equivalent in law, preferably with a specialization in business law; fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
