Role Overview

The organization is looking for a Legal Assistant / Legal & Liaison Executive to support legal, documentation, and field coordination activities. The role involves regular interaction with advocates, government offices, statutory bodies, and internal teams to help keep approvals, compliance, and records on track.

Key Duties

  • Support routine legal work and document handling for the company.
  • Coordinate with lawyers, public offices, local bodies, and outside agencies for legal and administrative needs.
  • Track court matters, legal notices, and active litigation records.
  • Draft, review, arrange, and manage legal papers such as agreements, affidavits, sale deeds, lease deeds, and other property-related records.
  • Work with Revenue, Registration, Municipal, Panchayat, CMDA/DTCP, and similar offices for approvals, certificates, licenses, and compliance requirements.
  • Follow up on Patta transfer, Chitta, Adangal, FMB sketch, Encumbrance Certificate, land record checks, and related revenue matters.
  • Assist with building plan approvals, layout approvals, planning permissions, completion certificates, and utility connections.
  • Carry out basic checks of land and property documents and support due diligence activity.
  • Maintain legal files, case updates, approval trackers, and document control systems.
  • Help send notices, replies, and official correspondence under supervision from senior management and legal advisors.
  • Visit courts, registration offices, government departments, project sites, and other locations for work-related tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, customers, contractors, consultants, and authorities on legal and compliance matters.
  • Keep follow-ups moving and update management on approval progress, case status, and documentation work.
  • Travel within and outside the city as needed for liaison, documentation, and project-related approvals.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of property law and legal paperwork.
  • Exposure to land records and approval workflows.
  • Strong communication and follow-up ability.
  • Comfort in dealing with government departments and external agencies.
  • Good command of MS Office and document handling tools.
  • Readiness to travel frequently for official assignments.
