Role overview
This position supports a corporate legal team with day-to-day matter handling, contract support, and legal operations coordination. The role focuses on keeping legal requests organized, moving work through agreed processes, and helping maintain reliable records, templates, and governance documentation. You will work with internal teams and global legal stakeholders to provide practical, timely support while reducing risk to the business.

Key responsibilities
- Receive legal requests, review them, route them to the right owner, and track them through the legal matter management system.
- Assess the details in incoming matters and identify the right document, response, or legal guidance needed.
- Support contract and agreement work, including preparing, reviewing, revising, and completing agreements.
- Handle legal support across multiple workstreams such as NDAs, distribution agreements, seeding agreements, MTAs, CDAs, contract review, template administration, matter intake, entity work, and governance records.
- Accurately create, maintain, and update legal matters in HighQ or similar matter tracking tools while protecting data integrity and meeting governance expectations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, manage workflows, and prepare reporting to keep legal operations running smoothly.
- Work assigned matters according to service levels, internal playbooks, and escalation steps.
- Keep legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge resources current and usable.
- Partner with global legal teams to deliver work consistently across regions.
- Assist with legal technology and automation efforts, including document automation, workflow tools, and e-signature solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and internal control standards in all work.
- Administer the matter management system for corporate legal work and support related reporting; flag issues and suggest improvements where needed.
- Act as a point of contact for business teams, translating legal processes and corporate positions into practical guidance that helps limit company risk.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and close confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, beta agreements, and seed agreements within approved guidelines.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree or an equivalent legal qualification is required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in paralegal work, matter management, contract management, contract review, drafting, or negotiation.
- Strong English communication skills and prior exposure to in-house legal teams across EMEA, Europe, and APAC.
- Background in legal operations, shared services, or an internal legal department.
- Ability to handle several tasks at once, prioritize competing demands, and solve problems independently.
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Understanding of global contracting practices and standards.
- Experience using legal technology such as CLM systems, workflow platforms, or document automation tools.
- Exposure to cross-border contracting work across multiple jurisdictions.
- Consistently produces accurate, high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven and able to meet goals and deadlines with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with matter management systems and reporting dashboards is preferred.
