Overview
Auckland University of Technology (AUT) invites applications for a permanent, full-time Lecturer position in Marketing, based at the City Campus in Auckland. The Marketing and International Business Department is part of a prestigious Business School with EQUIS and AACSB accreditations and is committed to delivering research-informed, practice-led learning experiences.
Main Responsibilities
- Innovate pedagogy and scholarship, engaging with industry to produce high quality academic outputs.
- Deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with opportunities to influence and develop curriculum.
- Support and promote inclusive, culturally responsive teaching practices in a collaborative academic setting.
- Maintain strong ties to industry through active engagement to ensure relevance of teaching materials and scholarship.
- Contribute to continuous curriculum improvement and use digital resources effectively to enhance learning.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a PhD in Marketing or closely related discipline, or nearing completion within 12 months.
- Preferred professional certifications in digital marketing, marketing analytics or research.
- Early career candidates may have teaching assistant experience; seasoned candidates should demonstrate lecturing experience, curriculum development, and supervision of applied or work-integrated learning projects.
- Commitment to being a teaching-focused academic with a dedication to maintaining professional standards.
- Strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, with respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Indigenous knowledge systems.
- Curiosity, energy, collegiality, cultural humility, and openness to innovative ideas.
Additional Information
- Start date anticipated in January or February 2027.
- Salary ranges from NZD 86,000 to 102,000 annually, commensurate with experience and appointment level.
- Standard full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week.
