Job description
Overview
Republic Polytechnic invites applications from dedicated and experienced professionals to join its Diploma in Events & Project Management (DEPM) programme. The role is focused on preparing future graduates with essential skills in event management, project leadership, experience design, digital transformation, sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and facilitate learning for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes in relevant subject areas.
- Design, develop, and update curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to reflect current industry standards and workforce demands.
- Incorporate industry best practices, digital tools, and AI-enabled technologies into the teaching process.
- Create authentic, industry-linked learning experiences to enhance student employability and competencies.
- Contribute to stackable credentialing, professional certification programmes, and lifelong learning initiatives.
- Build and sustain partnerships with industry organizations, professional bodies, and government agencies.
- Lead and manage industry collaborative projects, consultancy assignments, and work-integrated learning opportunities.
- Mentor students in competitions, exhibitions, and experiential learning events, and facilitate guest lectures, site visits, and networking.
- Promote innovation in teaching and industry projects through adoption of AI and emerging technologies such as generative AI, workflow automation, data analytics, and digital experience platforms.
- Guide students in ethical and effective use of AI tools for project planning, event operations, marketing, content creation, stakeholder management, and data analysis.
- Provide academic, personal, and professional support and mentoring to students, including oversight of internships, capstone projects, and industry assignments.
- Encourage development of leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Engage in consulting, applied research, and capability development activities.
- Design and deliver customised professional development and training programmes for industry partners.
- Participate actively in school and institution-wide strategic projects, committees, and initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Events Management, Project Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
- Postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
- At least eight years of pertinent industry experience in areas including MICE, business events, conferences, exhibitions, event production, live events, project management, customer experience and design, event technology, digital experiences, marketing, communications, or tourism.
