Position Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a part-time Lecturer in English to join their Slough & Langley College team on a permanent basis, working 0.5 full-time equivalent (FTE). The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality English instruction focused on post-16 learners, supporting their development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening to achieve GCSE or Functional Skills qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English lessons suitable for diverse learning abilities.
- Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants to create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Utilize diagnostic assessment data to identify learning gaps and set individual learning goals.
- Monitor and support student progress through targeted interventions.
- Enhance student attendance, retention, and achievement through effective teaching strategies.

Terms of Employment
This position carries a salary band ranging from 15,816.50 to 22,670.50 for part-time hours (0.5 FTE), equivalent to 31,633 to 45,341 at full-time employment depending on qualifications and experience. The academic year begins on 19 August 2026 with shortlisting starting week commencing 17 August 2026; the exact start date will be confirmed following recruitment.
