Role Summary

In this hands-on leadership role, you will work alongside the Service Supervisor to coordinate daily workshop operations, assist technicians and apprentices, and ensure all work meets Komatsu's strict safety and quality standards. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to optimize workshop productivity, support customer needs, and promote continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily workshop tasks to achieve safe, efficient, and productive results.
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on coaching to technicians and apprentices.
  • Plan workloads, track progress, and assist in preparing estimates and quotations.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance protocols, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Engage with customers and internal teams to ensure outstanding service delivery.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, quality, and cost control.

Candidate Profile

  • Trade qualifications in heavy equipment, light automotive, mechanical, or industrial fields.
  • Prior leadership experience in roles such as Leading Hand, Foreman, Workshop Controller, or Supervisor.
  • Advanced skills in technical diagnostics and fault detection.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workshop tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing customer relationships.
  • Dedication to upholding workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Comfortable with computer systems and administrative responsibilities.
  • Valid Driver's Licence required.
