Role Overview
Due to expansion within the department, Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police is seeking a Lawyer to join the Legal Services team. This role involves supporting the Chief Constable and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner by delivering comprehensive legal advice and services.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will provide expert legal guidance and handle a diverse range of legal matters, especially in civil litigation and employment tribunals. They will play a critical role in ensuring policing operations are conducted efficiently and ethically, thereby protecting public trust and positively impacting local communities. Additionally, after training, the lawyer will share responsibility for Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO) on-call duties each month.
Requirements and Eligibility
The position welcomes applications from dynamic, qualified lawyers with experience managing a broad legal portfolio, particularly in civil litigation or employment tribunal cases. Candidates should demonstrate forward-thinking and a proactive approach, with the ability to bridge legal frameworks with practical policing needs.
