About the role
EY is looking for a Staff-level Regulatory Research & Monitoring attorney to support compliance-focused projects across multiple jurisdictions. This position offers exposure to regulatory frameworks in different countries and a chance to grow into a research and compliance specialist within a globally connected environment.

Key responsibilities
- Break down the core issues in each assignment and understand the legal question being asked.
- Carry out research in a structured, step-by-step manner and present conclusions in the required format.
- Prepare legal write-ups using the agreed structure, style, and formatting standards.
- Read, interpret, and apply statutes and regulations accurately.
- Research and analyze relevant case law.
- Work carefully with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Deliver client work within agreed timelines and maintain on-time delivery standards.
- Participate in mandatory training and certification programs.
- Work collaboratively with teammates and contribute as a reliable team player.
- Raise project-related concerns promptly when issues arise.

Required profile
- Law degree is mandatory.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience is required.
- Strong command of English, including grammar, punctuation, style, and professional written communication.
- Solid legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify the statutes and regulations relevant to a legal issue.
- Ability to interpret and summarize legislation clearly.
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking with close attention to detail.
- Ability to understand instructions for legal research and follow an established methodology.
Preferred skills and experience
- Working knowledge of legal databases such as Westlaw or similar tools.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong desire to learn, a positive work ethic, and an innovative mindset.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly in both verbal and written formats.
- Comfortable sharing learnings and insights with peers and seniors.
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt well within a team.
