Role Overview
This is a contract law clerk position for a client operating in the commercial real estate and energy space. The role is fully remote and suitable for someone who can support legal work across drafting, review, research, and transaction coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and review legal paperwork related to commercial real estate and energy matters, including contracts, leases, and transaction documents.
- Perform legal research on topics involving commercial real estate and energy law, with attention to regulatory obligations and transactional due diligence.
- Support the handling and tracking of transaction files so documents remain accurate and aligned with legal standards.
- Work with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders to keep transactions moving smoothly.
- Organize and maintain legal records, correspondence, and supporting materials for active and future matters.
Required Background and Skills
Applicants should have a Juris Doctor degree, or be enrolled in an accredited law school with at least two years completed. Relevant experience as a law clerk, legal assistant, or in a similar position is preferred, especially in commercial real estate or energy. Strong document-drafting ability, research skills, and a high level of accuracy are essential.
Compensation
The contract pays between $40 and $55 per hour.
