Role Summary
We are seeking a contract-based Law Clerk specializing in Commercial Real Estate and Energy law to provide support to legal teams. This remote position involves assisting with drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and other transactional documents within these sectors.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and draft contracts, lease agreements, and transactional documents related to commercial real estate and energy.
- Perform comprehensive legal research on matters pertaining to commercial real estate and energy law, focusing on regulatory compliance and due diligence for transactions.
- Support the organization and accuracy of transactional paperwork, ensuring adherence to applicable legal standards.
- Collaborate with legal teams, clients, and relevant parties to enable efficient transaction execution.
- Maintain well-organized records of legal documents and communications for current and future transactions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or active enrollment in an accredited law school with at least two years completed.
- Prior experience in a legal clerkship, assistant, or comparable role, ideally within commercial real estate or energy sectors.
- Proficiency in drafting and analyzing legal documents including contracts and leases.
- Capability to conduct detailed legal research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong organizational aptitude with high attention to detail in document and compliance management.
