Role summary
This contract opportunity is for a remote Law Clerk supporting a client’s legal operations in the commercial real estate and energy space. The assignment focuses on document drafting, legal review, research, and coordination across transaction workflows.
Core duties
- Prepare, revise, and assess commercial real estate and energy-related contracts, lease papers, and other transaction documents.
- Carry out legal research on topics tied to commercial real estate and energy law, including regulatory obligations and transactional due diligence.
- Support the handling of deal documents while maintaining accuracy and alignment with legal standards.
- Liaise with legal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to help transactions move forward smoothly.
- Keep files, records, and correspondence well organized for current and future matters.
Required background
- A Juris Doctor degree, or current enrollment in an accredited law school with at least two years completed.
- Previous experience in a law clerk, legal assistant, or comparable position, ideally within commercial real estate or energy.
- Strong capability in drafting and reviewing legal documents, especially contracts and lease agreements.
- Comfort using legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar resources.
- Careful attention to detail, with solid organizational ability for document control and compliance tracking.
