Job description
Role overview
We are seeking a Laundry Attendant to handle laundry operations, including cleaning, sorting, and delivering linens to clients. This role supports the smooth day-to-day running of laundry services and helps maintain hygienic laundry areas.
Key duties
- Separate, wash, and dry linens according to approved laundry processes.
- Fold, count, and arrange linens in line with standard procedures.
- Gather used linens and distribute freshly cleaned items as required.
- Move clean and soiled linens and related supplies to the correct storage and collection points.
- Check linens regularly for signs of damage, and follow the standard procedure for items that are worn or torn.
- Keep both commercial and residential laundry spaces clean, organized, and sanitary.
Qualifications
- Prior exposure to housekeeping or laundry work, or a similar mix of training and experience, is considered an advantage.
- You should be able to understand and follow both written and spoken instructions, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Comfort using laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, linen presses, and clothing labelers is required.
- You need to be self-driven and capable of working alone or as part of a team.
- The role requires the physical ability to perform the job duties.
Working schedule
The shift is 12 hours per day, with a rotation of 14 days on and 14 days off.
