About The Role

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all uniforms and linens from guest rooms and dining areas are properly laundered, pressed, and returned, enabling seamless hospitality delivery by other team members. The role demands maintaining high-quality standards so that all laundered items appear fresh and pristine.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment correctly and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the linen room and laundry machinery.
• Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety procedures vigilantly.
• Manage washing, drying, pressing, and folding of clean linens from rooms and outlets.
• Use and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machines, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide on spot treatment, repairs, rewashing, or disposal.
• Inspect and verify cleanliness of articles after laundering processes.
• Set drying machines according to fabric types and recommended timings and temperatures.
• Clean lint screens, filters, and drain traps after each load to maintain machine efficiency.
• Fold laundered items by hand or using folding machines to designated sizes.
• Keep accurate records of all laundered items.
