Job Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the comprehensive laundry processing, chemical handling, and equipment upkeep to ensure superior linen care aligned with ultra-luxury standards. The role requires close coordination with supervisors, strict adherence to guest requests, and maintaining a pristine work environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage washing, dry cleaning, and pressing operations following directives from the Laundry Manager.
• Safely handle laundry chemicals, spotting agents, and solvents according to specified instructions.
• Mark all laundry items correctly, paying attention to room numbers and sequence, reporting any damaged items, stains, or foreign objects found in linen.
• Comply precisely with guest-specific laundry instructions, such as folding methods and starch preferences.
• Accurately weigh laundry loads before processing and maintain cleanliness of all laundry equipment.
• Participate in daily operational briefings and provide valet services, including delivering linen as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional laundry workspace consistently.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• One to two years of experience in a similar role within a five-star or luxury hospitality context.
• Competent English reading, writing, and speaking abilities.
• Professional appearance and grooming meeting Raffles' luxury standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with meticulous attention to detail are essential for ensuring excellent service quality.
• Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening phases is required.
• Pre-opening experience in luxury hotel operations is mandatory.
• Demonstrates a proactive and responsible mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
