Job description
Role Overview
This position involves handling laundry operations, including cleaning linens and ensuring they are properly sorted and delivered to clients.
Key Duties
- Sort, wash, and dry linens according to the approved laundry process.
- Fold, count, and arrange linens in line with the required procedures.
- Gather soiled linens and distribute cleaned linens where needed.
- Move clean and dirty linen supplies to the correct storage and collection points.
- Check linens regularly for damage and follow the standard process for items that are worn or torn.
- Keep commercial and residential laundry areas tidy, organized, and sanitary.
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in housekeeping or laundry, or a similar mix of training and experience, is considered an advantage.
- Ability to understand and follow both written and spoken instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, linen presses, and clothing labelers.
- Self-driven and able to work well independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing the duties required by the role.
