Position Overview

As a retail loss prevention detective, you will utilize your trained observation skills, calm demeanor, and professionalism to maintain safety on the sales floor. You will identify suspicious activities early, respond judiciously, and assist our client in effectively deterring theft.

Main Duties

• Discreetly monitor customers throughout the retail space
• Detect and prevent theft attempts
• Engage with suspects when there is substantiated suspicion or an incident has occurred
• Intervene during thefts following established protocols
• Prepare documentation of apprehensions as directed by the client
• Collaborate with store management, clients, and if necessary, law enforcement

Candidate Profile

• Mandatory certification according to Section 34a of the German Trade Regulation Act (GewO)
• Current first aid certification required
• Excellent verbal and written German language skills
• Previous experience as a retail detective, in retail, or security services is preferred
• Confident, calm, and professional manner
• Strong observational skills and quick comprehension
• High sense of responsibility, discretion, and reliability
• Assertiveness coupled with skills in de-escalating communication
• Clean police clearance certificate
