About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our Fabrications team at Grundon Waste Management in Ewelme. This position offers an excellent chance to apply practical workshop expertise alongside strong organizational and administrative capabilities, all contributing to a mission of enhancing waste management for a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fabrication staff with basic administrative duties and prepare containers by dismantling them for disposal.
- Ensure all containers delivered or repaired conform to company branding standards.
- Apply vinyl graphics according to company guidelines to maintain a professional image.
- Keep the workshop clean, orderly, and well supplied, including paints, tools, PPE, and materials.
- Pick, prepare, and dispatch orders, collect supplies, and manage vehicle loading and unloading operations.
- Conduct safety inspections, maintain equipment and machinery records, report defects promptly, and help preserve equipment safety and functionality.
- Contribute suggestions to enhance workshop efficiency by reducing repair times and expenses.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly health and safety checks to ensure full compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Carry out assigned ad hoc projects within your skill set as directed by management or the Board.

Candidate Profile
- Strong hands-on skills with proficiency in hand and power tools.
- Experience in administrative tasks and effective record management.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
- Dedicated to delivering quality work and excellent customer service.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.
- Experience with warehouse or store operations is an advantage.
- Telehandler/forklift license preferred; training can be provided.
- Full UK driving license required with readiness to travel to different sites as needed.
- Must have own transportation due to the location of the role.
