Job Overview
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for managing samples, conducting chemical analyses, and delivering precise, prompt results following Laboratory Operating Procedures and established testing methodologies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out appropriate tests under supervision with proper proficiency training.
- Assist with cleaning laboratory equipment including carts, glassware, and racks.
- Keep laboratory work areas clean and organized.
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality control activities in line with operational procedures and test methods.
- Prepare samples by homogenizing according to standard protocols.
- Perform maintenance and verification of laboratory equipment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
- Experience within commercial laboratories is considered an asset.
Work Schedule
The position involves working Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility available.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $18.90.
- Health, Dental, and Vision coverage with 80% employer contribution.
