Role overview
In this position, you will take on the professional preparation of meals and help ensure a smooth kitchen operation in a modern catering environment in Hannover. The role also includes presenting dishes at the serving counter, supporting front-cooking when needed, and contributing ideas for new recipes and menu concepts.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare food carefully and with strong commitment to quality.
- Present and promote meals at the service counter and support front-cooking duties when required.
- Assist occasionally with events and catering assignments.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Handle administrative tasks such as ordering and procurement support.
- Work with modern kitchen equipment and current food-preparation technology.
- Guide and support assistant cooks and kitchen helpers.
- Contribute ideas for new dishes and recipes.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a chef/cook is required.
- Professional experience in modern institutional catering or collective catering is expected.
- You should bring an open, friendly attitude, strong communication skills, team spirit, and a service-oriented mindset.
- A well-groomed appearance and good manners are important for this role.
- You must be able to stay organized and work confidently when several tasks run in parallel, even in busy periods.
