Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
In this position, you will collaborate extensively with client service teams to address challenging problems through meticulous analysis and clearly structured insights. Utilizing your expertise in the mining sector, you will aid in both strategic decision-making and enhancing operational efficiency for clients. Your tasks include diagnosing operational performance at mining sites, identifying areas for improvement, supporting data gathering, executing quantitative analyses, and combining findings with field observations to deliver benchmark-based recommendations.
Moreover, you will help progress MineLens' analytical capabilities by contributing innovative methods in mining data analysis, supporting both consulting teams and clients in remote and onsite settings. Engagements may involve extended international assignments lasting between 4 to 8 weeks or longer.
You will also be responsible for enriching internal knowledge and aiding in the creation of new tools and solutions that broaden MineLens' influence and effectiveness.
This role is part of our Client Capabilities Network located in Gurugram, India, within the global MineLens team, which operates under the Global Energy & Materials practice. MineLens empowers mining organizations with strategic business intelligence by integrating advanced analytics, extensive mining performance databases, and expert global insight to boost productivity and cut costs.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements
- Must have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mining Engineering or related fields such as Mineral Engineering or Geology.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience within the mining industry, preferably with expertise in open-pit or underground mining operations or mineral processing.
- Strong knowledge of mining industry trends and operations dynamics.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for analytics, with a desire to innovate in mining data analysis to drive operational improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, mining software, and advanced data analytics platforms.
- Experience in utilizing Generative AI technologies to enhance analytical or decision-making processes is advantageous.
- Capability to independently lead client engagements and interact proficiently with senior executives, presenting complex value propositions effectively.
- Willingness to commit to a high-performance team environment including travel to remote mining sites.
- Superior English communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
