Role Overview
Aramark Ireland is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support catering operations at University Hospital Galway in Galway, County Galway, Ireland. This role plays an important part in patient meal production and in providing a warm, attentive service experience for patients using the hospital’s facilities. The position is well suited to someone who is motivated, focused, and interested in joining a catering team that supports patient feeding services.
This opportunity offers evening work and requires working only every second weekend. Full-time hours are available.
Key Duties
- Keep kitchen utensils, cooking pots, and trays stocked and ready for use.
- Work to maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards across the kitchen and related areas, following direction from the Head Chef.
- Complete any food safety and quality checks or records assigned to you each day without exception.
- Upkeep cleanliness and hygiene standards for the building, kitchen spaces, and personal presentation.
- Support onsite deliveries from the main kitchen to ward kitchens.
- Take on reasonable additional duties that help with service delivery, food preparation, hygiene, and overall kitchen efficiency.

Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role within a busy catering environment.
- A solid background in hospitality or catering is an advantage.
- Good time management skills.
- Working knowledge of food hygiene standards, including HACCP, is preferred.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with a flexible and positive approach.
- Garda vetting is required for this position.
- A full Category B driving licence is required.
