Role Overview

Victoria Hotel is looking to fill the position of a Kitchen Porter to support the smooth running of kitchen operations.

Candidate Profile

• Preferably, candidates have at least one year of experience working in a high-paced kitchen environment.
• A strong team-oriented mindset is essential.
• Proactive individuals who can work independently are encouraged to apply.
• The ability to efficiently manage work under pressure is required.

Primary Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of the kitchen and all associated storage spaces.
• Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Follow the assigned cleaning schedules diligently.
• Sanitize all meal prep areas, including kitchen walls, ovens, stoves, sinks, and grills.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout shifts and upon shift completion.
• Wash dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Ensure all kitchen appliances such as mixers and cookers are functioning properly.
• Manage waste by emptying, re-lining, and cleaning garbage bins timely.
• Keep refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Assist chefs with basic food prep tasks like washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients as instructed.
• Accept additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Handle alcoholic stock, including full and empty containers, responsibly.
• Possess good command of the English language for effective communication.
