Role overview
This position is for a Kitchen Porter at Brigg & Stow in Bristol Airport. The role sits within a busy hospitality environment where the pace is lively, the work is varied, and the team supports high customer volumes throughout the day.
SSP UK & Ireland operates across major travel hubs with well-known brands, serving customers in airports, rail stations, and motorway service areas across the UK and Ireland.
Pay and working pattern
The hourly rate is £13.35. For shifts worked between midnight and 6:00 AM, an additional £1.20 per hour is paid, taking the rate to £14.55 per hour during those hours.
There is also a chance to receive tips and service charge, although there is no contractual guarantee that these will be allocated to this role.
Operational hours run from 3:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The position requires flexibility across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays.
What the role involves
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation and handling waste.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly, including dishes, work surfaces, and floors.
- Helping the team maintain hygiene, food safety, and general kitchen standards.
What we are looking for

- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
