About the Role
An opening exists for a Kitchen & Laundry Technician to support the Engineering team at Jumeirah The Red Sea. The role focuses on keeping kitchen and laundry equipment running safely, efficiently, and with minimal interruption to operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all relevant equipment operating safely and efficiently in line with health and safety requirements.
- Examine, service, and restore commercial kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and exhaust systems.
- Carry out planned maintenance and regular inspections to reduce breakdowns and avoid service disruptions.
- Service and repair laundry equipment including washers, dryers, ironing systems, and steam generators.
- Track equipment performance and complete routine servicing to maintain top operating condition.
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and work with laundry operations to limit disruption to service delivery.
Candidate Profile
The right candidate will bring a technical diploma or certification in electrical, mechanical, or appliance maintenance, along with a strong understanding of commercial kitchen and laundry systems. The ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics accurately is essential. Flexibility is also important, as the schedule may include shifts, weekends, and urgent call-outs. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in maintaining kitchen and laundry equipment is preferred, ideally within hospitality or resort settings.
