Kitchen Equipment Technician

Role overview

This position is for a Kitchen Equipment Technician based in Doha, Qatar. The selected candidate will handle the installation, upkeep, fault-finding, and repair of a broad range of commercial kitchen and hospitality appliances, including ovens, burners, dishwashers, refrigerators, fryers, and similar equipment. The job calls for solid diagnostic ability, close attention to detail, and the confidence to work with limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and commission commercial kitchen machinery and appliances.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance as well as corrective repairs.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and gas-related issues.
• Replace or fix defective parts, assemblies, and systems.
• Make sure all equipment remains safe to use and performs efficiently.
• Keep accurate service notes and maintenance records.
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers whenever support or parts are needed.
• Adhere strictly to safety rules and internal procedures.

Experience and profile

The employer is seeking someone with at least 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in kitchen equipment maintenance and repair. Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is essential, along with exposure to commercial catering or hospitality equipment. The role also requires the ability to diagnose problems quickly, especially in high-pressure situations, and work well with others.

Eligibility

Candidates with a valid transferable visa are preferred for local hiring in Qatar. Immediate availability is considered an advantage.

Salary and employment terms

The compensation package is QAR 6,000 per month on an all-inclusive basis.
