Overview
We are hiring a Kitchen Crew member for a permanent full-time or permanent part-time position in Victoria, British Columbia, on Douglas Street (V8Z 3L2). This onsite role is scheduled across days, evenings, and weekends, with hours of up to 40 per week. English is the working language for this position.
Wage Progression
This job comes with a structured pay ladder tied to training and added responsibility through the Steps to Success (S2S) program. The hourly pay increases as skills and duties expand:
- New hire: $18.50/hour
- Fully trained: $18.75/hour
- Advanced: $19.00/hour
- Cross-trained: $19.25/hour
- Shift leader: $19.50/hour

Role Summary
In this kitchen position, you will support the preparation of menu items, help keep operations organized, and contribute to a smooth and efficient guest experience. The role suits someone who enjoys active, practical work, teamwork, and building new skills in a supportive setting.
Key Duties
- Prepare menu items in line with food safety and quality expectations.
- Cook items such as burgers, fries, breakfast foods, and other products efficiently.
- Assemble orders accurately, including during high-volume periods.
- Keep stations stocked, orderly, and operating efficiently.
- Refill refrigerators, freezers, and ingredient areas as needed.
- Track stock levels and communicate shortages to the team.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times.
- Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, counters, prep areas, and utensils.
- Help maintain the dining area, restrooms, and exterior spaces so the guest environment stays clean and welcoming.
- Coordinate closely with cashiers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Communicate clearly during busy rushes and support a respectful team culture.
