About the Role

Join Sprout & Co as a Kitchen Assistant, an integral member of our team responsible for ensuring smooth kitchen operations through preparation support and maintaining an impeccably clean environment. This part-time position in Cork requires a proactive attitude, enthusiasm for food, and a strong sense of responsibility rather than prior experience.

Key Duties

• Assist in daily kitchen setups and preparation activities.
• Adhere strictly to cleaning protocols to keep all kitchen areas and equipment spotless.
• Maintain compliance with kitchen standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficient workflows.
• Follow stringent food safety and allergen management practices to uphold highest hygiene standards.
• Support the General Manager in ensuring the kitchen's health and safety standards are met.
• Provide extra assistance to the team during peak times, especially lunch service.
• Focus primarily on dishwashing tasks, ensuring all utensils, pots, pans, and equipment are cleaned and ready for use efficiently and safely.
• Assist with light food preparation such as washing vegetables as necessary.

Requirements
