Role Overview
The Kids Club Attendant plays a vital role in delivering outstanding childcare services by providing a loving, patient, and attentive environment. This role supports the Entertainment & Recreation Manager to ensure that children are safely engaged in enriching activities, fostering trust with parents and guardians through consistent care and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit genuine care and patience towards children, managing any situation calmly and thoughtfully.
- Maintain a safe and hazard-free play area, actively supervising children throughout their time in the club.
- Regularly clean and sanitize toys, games, and play equipment to uphold safety and attractiveness.
- Document daily details for each child including behavior, activities, meals, medications, and other relevant information, and communicate these updates to parents.
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that are engaging, age-appropriate, and promote active participation.
- Engage with children in activities such as reading, arts and crafts, music, and singing.
- Handle administrative duties including signing children in and out and managing records of special needs.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Respond swiftly and correctly to challenging or emergency scenarios.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven prior experience working as a Kids Club Attendant.
- Excellent listening skills combined with a vibrant and engaging personality.
- A caring, compassionate, and patient approach towards children.
- Aptitude for creating and leading educational and enjoyable activities for children.
- Good proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered advantageous.
