Role overview

Anner Hotel in Thurles, County Tipperary is hiring a part-time Kids Club Assistant to join its onsite team. The hotel is a 4-star property located on Dublin Road in Thurles, positioned around the middle of Cork and Dublin and about 1.5 hours from all major cities. It features 92 guest rooms, casual dining options, private dining spaces, conference suites, and a large award-winning leisure centre with an 18-metre pool.

The opportunity

This role calls for someone who is upbeat, reliable, professional, and comfortable working in a busy hospitality setting. Strong communication, the ability to juggle several tasks, and a proactive attitude are important. The role reports to the Operations Manager and involves helping maintain a safe and secure environment for children, guests, staff, and visitors at all times.

Key duties

• Support the daily operation of the Kids Club and help ensure children receive a high standard of care.
• Keep Kids Club spaces clean, safe, and secure throughout the day.
• Escalate any issues or concerns to the Operations Manager promptly.
• Monitor stock levels for the Kids Club and advise the Operations Manager in advance when replenishment is needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians and with Kids Club team members on a daily basis.
• Lead and assist with children’s activities such as arts and crafts and movie time.

Work schedule and requirements

The role requires availability during weekdays in peak season as well as weekends. Garda Vetting will be completed after the interview stage.
