Role Summary
This full-time, onsite position based in Jagalur, Karnataka, entails identifying and evaluating appropriate land parcels for renewable energy initiatives. The role requires conducting field surveys, coordinating with landowners, local authorities, and community stakeholders. Responsibilities include supporting due diligence, verifying land ownership records, ensuring clear land titles, and compliance with regional laws. Maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and working closely with project, legal, and finance departments to facilitate smooth land acquisition processes are integral. The position also involves monitoring ongoing land activities, resolving issues collaboratively, and maintaining ethical and transparent conduct in all dealings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of Karnataka's land laws, regulations, and land record systems, especially in the Jagalur area.
- Skills in conducting field surveys, site verifications, and confirming land boundaries and ownership.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities to effectively engage with landowners, communities, and government officials.
- Experience in organizing documentation, drafting reports, and proficiency with standard office tools.
- Fluency in Kannada and adequate command of English for internal communication and documentation purposes.
- High ethical standards with respect for local communities and adherence to fair and transparent practices.
- Ability to work autonomously in field conditions, manage time well, and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant background in land acquisition, real estate, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors is advantageous.
- Preferred minimum education of diploma or bachelor’s degree in Land Management, Geography, Law, Business, or related fields.
