About the Role
Carhartt WIP North America is looking for a Junior Wholesale and Marketing Assistant to join their Toronto team. Reporting directly to the Country Manager - Canada, this role involves providing daily support to Wholesale and Marketing teams by managing showroom activities, coordinating wholesale operations, handling sample management, and supporting regional brand initiatives. The ideal candidate is well-organized, detail-focused, adaptable, and passionate about upholding Carhartt WIP’s brand standards across all customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in merchandising seasonal collections in the showroom to visually represent brand aesthetics.
- Support showroom operations ensuring that product samples and presentations faithfully adhere to brand guidelines.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to track and communicate shipment statuses promptly.
- Monitor, track, and report pick ticket statuses within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain ongoing relationships with over 15 wholesale accounts to support their daily needs and queries.
- Manage vendor loans, sample pulls, and showroom requests while keeping accurate inventory documentation.
- Assist in implementing regional marketing campaigns while ensuring brand consistency across physical, digital, and social media platforms.
- Participate in organizing brand events, photoshoots, video projects, and local marketing activations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate and support regional organic social media content.
- Observe customer trends, market activity, and consumer behavior to provide valuable insights to the team.
- Represent and promote Carhartt WIP in the marketplace, embodying and protecting the brand integrity as a brand ambassador.
Candidate Qualifications

- Effective team player possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter comfortable juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Analytical thinker with solid problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable, thriving in a developing and changing business atmosphere.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel for shipment tracking, record maintenance, and reporting tasks.
- Prior experience in a fashion showroom or wholesale environment preferred.
- Understanding of retail dynamics, brand positioning, target customers, market competitors, and the wholesale trade in contemporary apparel.
- Experience supporting wholesale sales or showroom operations is an advantage.
- Skills in visual merchandising.
- Sales experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Additional Information
- Work location is full-time at the Toronto office, with a hybrid schedule requiring presence in the office Tuesday through Thursday.
- This position reports directly to the Country Manager - Canada.
- Annual salary range is $50,000 to $65,000.
