Job description

About the Role

G-Lab Group is a purpose-led storytelling agency that works with nonprofit organizations across the United States. The team creates documentary-style stories that help groups such as The Salvation Army communicate impact and motivate people to take action.

The company is hiring a junior videographer in Atlanta, Georgia to support its growing storytelling work. This is an entry-level, part-time opportunity offering 20 to 25 hours per week, with a clear path to move into a full-time role as the business expands.

This position is best suited for someone at the start of their video career who wants practical exposure to filming, editing, and production. You will work as part of a mobile production team, capturing stories on location while also contributing to editing tasks and early-stage planning. The role is very hands-on and combines execution with creative development.

Because travel is a major part of the job, it is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the move and adapting to different environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support field production by handling camera work, lighting setup, and audio recording on location
  • Travel with the production team for shoots across the United States, generally one to two trips each month lasting two to three days per trip
  • Cut and polish video content using Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, and CapCut
  • Help prepare for shoots by building shot lists and assisting with coordination
  • Communicate with clients during the pre-production stage
  • Work closely with the Storytelling Department, Project Managers, and Social Media Team
  • Share creative input to improve storytelling, visual presentation, and production quality

Requirements

  • Some basic to intermediate experience in videography, lighting, and audio recording
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, and CapCut
  • Good grasp of camera use and visual composition
  • Experience with drone work, or a willingness to earn FAA Part 107 certification with sponsorship from G-Lab
  • Photography ability
  • Availability for regular travel as part of the role
  • A portfolio or demo reel must be provided
  • Color grading experience is a plus
  • Motion graphics experience is a plus
  • Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly pay based on experience
  • Part-time schedule of 20 to 25 hours per week with fixed working hours
  • Paid travel time, with travel costs covered
  • PTO and paid vacation available after one year
  • All production gear is supplied by G-Lab
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time position

Location Requirement

This is a remote role, but applicants must be based in Atlanta, Georgia because of travel coordination needs.

Additional Information

The role is designed for someone who wants to do meaningful creative work for nonprofit clients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. G-Lab emphasizes creativity, execution, and purpose, and the position offers direct experience on real projects with real clients and measurable impact.
