Role Overview
TalkingPoints is hiring a junior-level Product Designer / UX Researcher generalist to create high-quality product designs, contribute to user research, and support the Solutions Incubator team with rapid design work for new concept testing. The position reports to the Lead Product Designer and partners closely with product pods to shape new features and experiences that support attendance, family engagement, and student success.
What You Will Do
- Create polished feature designs quickly while working with product and engineering teams to deliver against the roadmap.
- Turn product requirements into clear UX solutions that simplify complex problems.
- Work with other designers to ensure a connected and consistent experience across all TalkingPoints products.
- Participate in user research efforts that help guide product decisions and design direction.
Research and Design Responsibilities
- Design digital products with a focus on both mobile and web experiences.
- Interview users and run research methods such as usability testing and concept testing.
- Support full-cycle user research, from preparing discussion guides to moderating sessions and converting findings into actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate research operations, including recruiting participants, scheduling sessions, and managing incentives.
- Build wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
- Use AI-assisted design tools to speed up workflow.
- Apply design systems and reusable components to maintain consistency.

Contract Details
This is a 12-month contract role with a schedule of 20 hours per week. The hourly rate is $50, depending on experience.
