Role overview
For the HR Administration / Payroll team in Bremerhaven, FRoSTA is seeking a commercial payroll administrator as soon as possible. The role suits candidates with a wide range of experience, from first exposure to payroll to several years in the field. Depending on your background, you will gradually take on more responsibility in payroll processing and support employees and managers with payroll-related questions.
What you'll do
- Assist with monthly payroll processing and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain employee master data carefully, including tax information, social security numbers, and related records.
- Review payroll-relevant inputs such as working hours, contract changes, and special payments.
- Handle notifications and reports to social insurance providers and public authorities reliably.
- Help improve and further develop payroll processes.
Your background
FRoSTA is looking for someone with a completed commercial apprenticeship, such as tax clerk, industrial clerk, office clerk, or a comparable qualification. Prior experience in payroll or salary administration is welcome, but not mandatory, as a willingness to learn is also valued. Knowledge of wage tax and social security law is ideal. You should be confident using MS Office and preferably familiar with payroll systems. Good spoken and written English is needed for cooperation in an international environment. The role also calls for a structured, dependable, and independent way of working, along with strong commitment, resilience, and a practical hands-on mindset.
Benefits
- Employment under a collective bargaining agreement.
- A meaningful role that fits your strengths.
- Training opportunities for both professional and personal development.
- A long-term, trusting employment relationship with prospects for internal growth.
- Flexible working hours and the option to work remotely on a mobile basis.
- Access to EGYM Wellpass or an individual subsidy for your gym membership.
