About the Role
Jill Fritzo Public Relations, a boutique bi-coastal firm representing entertainment talent, is seeking a Junior Publicist based in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be experienced, ambitious, and eager to advance their career in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Confidentiality, communication, and writing proficiency are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics for client events such as photo shoots, press junkets, premieres, interviews, and appearances, including travel and styling coordination.
- Develop and maintain client schedules in collaboration with team members and counterparts.
- Collaborate with the team to implement strategic PR campaigns, including pitching, research, and monitoring media coverage.
- Draft and produce press-related materials such as press releases, pitches, and biographies.
- Attend red carpet events and personal appearances to provide coverage for talent.
- Generate story ideas and organize client interviews and photo shoots.
- Engage with media contacts to secure prominent features and placements for clients and their projects.
- Manage incoming press inquiries and research media contacts as needed.
- Respond promptly to client requests and maintain up-to-date media and industry contact lists.
- Participate in new business meetings and contribute to expanding the agency’s presence across television, film, music, authorship, and related verticals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Public Relations or Communications.
- Two to three years of full-time professional experience within an agency, studio, or entertainment setting.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, networking, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Capability to proactively manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a high-pressure, fast-paced workplace.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong writing and proofreading abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and issues.
- Strong interest in the entertainment sector is highly favored.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
