Role overview
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to help drive the rollout and onboarding of healthcare organizations for a large digital health program. The position centers on project coordination, working with stakeholders, managing risks and issues, maintaining documentation, supporting training, and helping ensure smooth site go-lives.
Employment details
This is a 9-month contract based in Toronto, Ontario. The role follows a hybrid setup, and onsite attendance may be needed as often as five days per week.
Core responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate onboarding and deployment work for healthcare sites.
- Monitor project timelines, risks, issues, and service change requests.
- Assist with communication and engagement across project stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Help with site readiness checks, training sessions, and troubleshooting support.
- Keep project records up to date and enforce proper version control practices.
- Track rollout status and prepare regular project progress updates.
- Support planning, execution, and follow-up activities for go-live events.
- Work closely with project teams to deliver milestones on time and successfully.
Required experience and qualifications
- At least 4 years of project management experience supporting electronic health or healthcare technology initiatives.
- Between 2 and 4 years of hands-on experience with healthcare information systems, pharmacy systems, and/or hospital information systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling project or program communications, including stakeholder coordination and engagement.
- At least 3 years of document management experience, including standards, version control, and storage practices.
- Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals such as scope, risk, planning, quality, and stakeholder management.
- Strong spoken and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with electronic health workflows and healthcare business operations.
- Prior work directly with healthcare professionals and clinical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with PMBOK and established project management practices.
- Experience using tools such as MS Project and MS Teams.
- Post-secondary education in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
