Role overview
This is a part-time junior product management role based in Herzogenrath, with a 30-hour work week. A hybrid working model is possible.
Key responsibilities
- Support the creation, further development, and ongoing maintenance of greeting card collections.
- Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from initial idea and concept work through execution and launch.
- Coordinate with design, purchasing, sales, and external partners.
- Review market trends, consumer trends, and sell-through data to support decision-making.
- Assist in assortment planning and related product mix decisions.
- Maintain product data, price lists, and presentation materials.
- Prepare documentation for internal reviews and external coordination.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has a degree in business administration, marketing, product management, or design with a commercial focus, or alternatively a commercial apprenticeship with an additional relevant qualification. First practical exposure through internships or working-student roles in product management, marketing, or category management is beneficial.
Applicants should bring an interest in design, consumer goods, and emotionally appealing products. Very good German and good English skills are required; Dutch is an advantage. Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is important. The role also calls for a structured, independent working style, teamwork, strong communication, and curiosity.
Prior experience in product management is not mandatory. What matters most is motivation, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in products.
Additional qualifications and working knowledge
- Understanding of assortment logic, including breadth, depth, occasions, and seasonality.
- Interest in retail and point-of-sale logic.
- Basic grasp of sales figures and how to interpret best-seller and flop analyses.
- Ability to think about products in a retail-ready way, including format, price, placement, and packaging.
- Careful handling of lists, item data, and Excel-based overviews.
