Junior Procurement Officer - UAE National Only

Job Overview

We seek an ambitious young Emirati with some procurement experience to join our team. The ideal candidate is proactive, eager to develop skills, and comfortable with procurement systems and tools. This role involves mastering procurement processes at Etihad.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Category Managers with sourcing execution activities throughout the entire lifecycle, including Requirements Definition, RFI/RFP, Award, Contracts, and related tasks, applying best practices such as Auctions when appropriate.
• Execute and support tactical and low-value procurements, utilize self-service channels like P-Cards, Managed Catalogues, and Guided Buying from Master Service Agreements. Manage processes, governance, and systems to streamline effort, ensure compliance, and enhance end-user service.
• Manage end-to-end procurement operations, administration, and support in compliance with PSM policies, processes, and governance, including contract administration, document management, correct template usage, and proper execution of Ariba functions and reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate conversion of Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO).
• Oversee post-contract administration, including tracking and reporting contract consumption, and capturing contract or supplier performance data for insights and analysis by Category Managers.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve payment-related matters.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma-level qualification required.
• Familiarity with Aviation and/or Indirect Procurement Categories is an advantage.
• Preferably at least 3 years of experience in Procurement Operations and Sourcing.
• Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and familiarity with systems like SAP and Ariba is favorable.
